SPECIAL REQUESTS
Please note that the BBA does not guarantee it will honor any requests. No refunds will be issued as a result of a request being denied. Prior to registering, please discuss with your child, their desire to participate in the league regardless of the outcome of any special requests.
The BBA prides itself in developing the confidence and character of our young players. One of the ways we do this is by conducting our open draft process. We believe this not only promotes community but also encourages the kids to make new friends each season. By conducting the open draft process we create an opportunity for the kids to gain real life experience in developing the social skill of adapting to new situations. Along with our goal of team parity, these are the main reasons we do not promote groups of the same friends playing together year after year.
The BBA accepts two types of requests. Request to play up or down in a particular division and request to play with a buddy.
Request Definitions
Play Up or Down requests are for a player to participate up or down a particular division regardless of D.O.B and based on size and or ability. During evaluations, a consensus is taken by all coaches and evaluators present to determine whether or not the request will be granted.
Play with a Buddy requests are for a player to play on the same team with a buddy. This request must be a mutual request submitted by both players parents and be deemed by the league not to affect parity. The league will make a determination prior to the Draft.
